Testimonials
The owner of Marie Antoinette Antiques, Francine Stevenson, has deep knowledge of French antiques and a great network of trusting clients. Great to buy from or to sell French antiques and understands the Canadian market. Looks like this piece went to a new home in an upscale neighbourhood of mid-town Toronto.(Debbie, consignor)
”"I am absolutely thrilled with the table. Francine patiently searched out he the perfect item for my space and my taste. Truly one of the most enjoyable shopping experiences I've had - I wish she could do all my shopping for me. I never could have tracked down such a wonderful piece on my own!"
”I wanted to let you know that the chairs are beautiful. Great fabric and the quality of paint and upholstery work is amazing. Thanks again for your patience with waiting for the fabric.
”Over the past 7 years, I have shopped at Marie Antoinette French Antiques and Fine Furniture acquiring many special pieces for my home. It is always a pleasure to deal with Francine as she is tasteful and elegant which translates into the lovely pieces she acquires for her shop. From furniture to accessories, her shop has it all and her pieces have graced our home with elegance and charm. Francine’s personal service extends beyond the shop where she offers home décor consultations as well as searching for particular pieces her customers want to acquire. And if a piece is perfect but the colour is not, Paul who works in-shop will quite adeptly paint or stain it to fit your home’s colour palette. Still not sure if a piece will work, the try-at-home service is a wonderful way to ensure complete satisfaction. With new pieces coming in several times a year, it is always so enjoyable perusing and shopping at Marie Antoinette French Antiques and Fine Furniture.

”I first discovered Marie Antoinette French Antiques and Fine Furniture 14 years ago. I was in Toronto searching for pieces as I was changing the décor of my home in Saskatoon. The store was located on Avenue Road at the time and driving by a magnificent chandelier in the window caught my eye. I purchased it and the chandelier arrived in Saskatoon in perfect condition. Over the subsequent years chests, armoires, tables, chairs, paintings and a desk all made their way out west. Recently I relocated to Toronto and I again turned to Francine, the owner of Marie Antoinette French Antiques, for her expertise as she searched out pieces to add to my collection. Francine, with her bubbling personality is a joy to work with. Often if I am in the neighbourhood of her store on Miranda Avenue I will pop in for a quick visit as the elegant and tranquil surroundings refresh the body, mind and spirit.
”I just wanted to send a note to say thank you for everything you have done and found for me from the time I entered your first shop and now in your new location you continue to be so personable, honest, trustworthy and make it a treat to come to your shop whether it be just to browse or buy something.
Marie Antoinette French Antiques is my favorite antique store, there is always something here and it so reminds me of a beautiful Parisienne apartment. Needless to say I will continue to recommend you to people and I am looking forward to doing more business with you.
Thanks again,
